MISSION

About Dr. Gillian Harris-Dale, PhD, MCAP, ICADA

Veteran. Visionary. Vessel of Transformation

ROOTED IN SERVICE

I served with honor as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve. Through nearly a decade of service, I cultivated the values that continue to shape my life: discipline, integrity, respect, honor, and the power of teamwork. These principles remain woven into both my personal and professional path.

FAMILY READINESS & COMMUNITY CARE

Following my honorable discharge, I volunteered as a Family Readiness Group Leader—serving as a steward of connection for Army members and their families. I created environments where service members felt supported, informed, and empowered. My approach was deeply relational, grounded in meaningful rituals, and centered on genuine care.

In addition to my work with military families, I have extended my service into civilian spaces of profound vulnerability. I’ve volunteered with oncology and hospice care organizations, offering comfort and dignity to individuals navigating the final chapters of life. I also served at a domestic violence survivor shelter, supporting individuals in reclaiming safety and voice. These experiences have deepened my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the sacredness of human connection across all walks of life.

ADVOCACY & VOICING STRENGTH AFTER SILENCE

I’ve led initiatives that enveloped homeless Veterans and their families in a protective embrace—offering not just shelter, but belonging. I’ve provided counseling to individuals navigating PTSD, Military Sexual Trauma, and Traumatic Brain Injury. My methods extend beyond traditional clinical frameworks, prioritizing deep listening and unwavering presence. The impact of my leadership has been reflected in successful federal audits, sustained funding, and—most importantly—the restoration of dignity and visibility to those long overlooked.

My recent contributions to the fields of substance abuse, addiction, and recovery are anchored in compassion, informed by evidence-based practices, and shaped by reverence for the resilience families embody. I conduct thorough evaluations and offer counseling that honors each person’s unique journey, fostering healing and personal accountability. I do not see families as broken—I see them as evolving. Through structured guidance, nurturing education, and holistic support, I help restore connection, rebuild trust, and ignite hope for transformation.

Throughout my career, I’ve shared insights from both podiums and intimate circles. I’ve facilitated workshops on career advancement, resilience, and life after trauma—empowering veterans, inspiring community leaders, and contributing to state symposiums. When addressing Military Sexual Trauma, I speak not of wounds, but of the transformative power that rises from their aftermath—a passage to newfound strength.

HEALING AS CEREMONY. STRUCTURE AS GRACE.

Today, I am the founder of A Mindful Transformation, Inc.—a nonprofit rooted in evidence-based counseling, holistic recovery, and nurturing education. I believe healing is both a science and a ceremony. Transformation is not a destination—it is a rhythm. A Mindful Transformation is the culmination of my journey: a sanctuary where every client is honored as a sovereign being in the process of becoming.
